Hi, I’m Michele Stills, and I started TLP Media as an independent news and opinion blog because I was tired of how much important information gets buried, softened, or twisted in today’s media

This isn’t a corporate outlet. It isn’t backed by a political party or a media conglomerate. It’s just me, reporting, researching, and writing about the stories that actually affect people’s lives.
I cover politics, culture, and power, but not as abstract talking points. I’m interested in what policies do, who they help, who they hurt, and who benefits when the truth gets blurred.
Why I Started This
I started TLP Media to focus on facts and to be honest about my perspective.
Some stories require straight reporting. Others demand context, skepticism, and opinion. I don’t believe in pretending every issue has two equal sides when the evidence says otherwise, and I don’t believe readers need to be protected from clear analysis.
Too often, the media treats politics like entertainment and ignores the real world consequences. TLP Media exists to push back against that by slowing down, looking closer, and saying the quiet parts out loud when necessary.
What I Cover
At TLP Media, I write about:
- U.S. politics and policy
- Cultural moments that reveal deeper truths
- Media narratives that deserve questioning
- Stories that directly affect American people, families, and communities
I’m less interested in viral outrage and more interested in what’s actually happening and why it matters.
How I Approach Journalism
My approach is simple:
- Stick to the facts
- Be clear about what’s known and what isn’t
- Call out power when it impacts real people
- Give my opinion when it’s earned by the evidence
My writing style is sharp, straightforward, and grounded in reality, not spin. I try to cut through the noise and get to the point without talking down to readers or dressing things up for clicks.
Independence Matters
TLP Media is fully independent.
That means I don’t answer to advertisers, political parties, or corporate editors. It also means I can ask uncomfortable questions and cover stories that don’t fit neatly into anyone’s preferred narrative.
My only obligation is to the truth and to the readers who trust me to treat it seriously.
A Note to Readers
If you’re here for clean headlines, clear reporting, and honest opinion, welcome.
If you’re tired of media that feels detached from real life, you’re not alone. That frustration is exactly why TLP Media exists.
Thanks for reading.
