The US House of Representatives has voted 353 to 76 to continue military assistance to Ukraine, rejecting a proposed amendment that would have cut off funding.

Republican Congressman Don Bacon confirmed the vote on X (formerly Twitter), stating:

“This morning the House overwhelmingly voted to continue providing military support to Ukraine by a 353–76 vote.”

The Proposal to End Aid

The amendment was introduced by Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia.

Her proposal, Amendment No. 116, sought to ban the use of any US funds for military aid to Ukraine. However, it failed to gain traction, facing strong bipartisan opposition.

Aid Had Been Paused Earlier

In early July, reports emerged that the US had paused shipments of precision munitions and Patriot missile interceptors to Ukraine.

According to Western media outlets, the decision was made to reevaluate US stockpiles, which have been under pressure due to ongoing global conflicts and supply chain challenges.

Sources claimed that the halt was ordered by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth—without informing Congress or then-President Donald Trump.

Shift After Zelenskyy Call

After a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trump reportedly reversed course.

The administration then announced a new military aid package worth hundreds of millions of dollars, aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defenses against continued Russian aggression.

Despite temporary delays, this latest House vote signals strong ongoing support from US lawmakers to continue backing Ukraine’s military efforts.
