We have reached the point where the phrase “federal agents” sends a colder shiver down your spine than a Minnesota winter.
According to The Minnesota Star Tribune, we are dealing with yet another shooting by ICE agents in south Minneapolis.
Walz Has Had Enough
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is not mincing words, and frankly, neither am I.
He confirmed on Saturday that ICE agents shot a man in Minneapolis, and he is rightfully furious.
Walz did not hold back in his assessment of the chaos currently reigning under this administration’s watch.
“I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening,” Walz wrote in a statement.
He knows exactly where the blame lies for this mess.
“The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.”
You heard the Governor.
Get these “untrained” cowboys out of our streets before they hurt anyone else.
The Minnesota Star Tribune released footage taken right outside a Glam Doll Donuts.
MS NOW also aired the video, which is every bit as disturbing as you would expect from this crew.
The video shows agents taking the man down, followed by the sound of multiple shots going off.
Scanner reports confirmed the man was shot in the chest and taken to the hospital, according to the outlet.
It is absolutely terrifying that you can’t even grab a pastry without risking a run-in with federal law enforcement.
A Pattern of Brutality
If this feels like déjà vu, that is because it is.
The Minnesota Star Tribune reported that “multiple sources with knowledge of the situation” confirmed the details of this latest shooting.
But let’s not forget what happened earlier this month.
This follows an ICE agent shooting and killing 37-year-old mother Renee Good in the same city.
The track record here is appalling.
It seems the strategy is to shoot first and ask absolutely zero questions later.
Local Leaders Scramble
While the feds play distinctively dangerous games, local leadership is trying to keep people alive.
The X account for the city of Minneapolis had to issue a warning asking residents to stay clear of the area.
“We are aware of reports of another shooting involving federal law enforcement in the area of 26th Street W and Nicollet Ave. We are working to confirm additional details. We ask the public to remain calm and avoid the immediate area,” they wrote.
This statement was reposted by Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.
They are doing what they can to clean up a mess they didn’t ask for.
Minneapolis Police are on the scene, probably wondering why the feds are treating their city like a war zone.
It is time for the President to listen to Walz.
Pack it up.
Go home.
