A confrontation between former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino and an unidentified ex-cop went viral Sunday after a video of the Saturday night incident spread rapidly across social media.
The heckler zeroed in on Bongino’s role in the FBI’s Epstein investigation, screaming “pedophile protector” directly at him multiple times.
Bongino, visibly furious, shot back with “go volunteer to do something!”
The accuser identified himself as a former law enforcement officer and continued the profanity-laced tirade, including a homophobic slur, before the altercation wound down.
A second video of the incident, shared from a different angle by the far-right Oath Keepers group, captured Bongino shouting at the crowd, “you didn’t do s—!”
Conservative outlet The Gateway Pundit placed the confrontation at Saturday evening, though further details about the venue remain unclear.
Far-right lawyer and Army veteran Ivan Raiklin was initially named by several prominent X users as the person who confronted Bongino, an accusation he denied repeatedly.
“I wasn’t the one who said that nor caused the scene,” Raiklin wrote on social media Sunday, clarifying that “it was some former cop.”
Bongino responded to the episode Sunday morning by posting at least 10 mocking messages about the group on social media.
The confrontation comes after Bongino resigned from the FBI amid fury from MAGA supporters over his agency’s handling of the Epstein case.
Before joining the bureau, Bongino had publicly amplified speculation about Epstein’s death and alleged co-conspirators.
After taking the deputy director post, he signed off on a memo concluding that Epstein died by suicide and that prosecutors lacked sufficient evidence to charge anyone else in connection with the case.

He ripped into him over his resignation and Iran's stance, calling him a “pedophile protector” and fagg*t.
It turned nasty instantly.pic.twitter.com/T5h1GoqllX https://t.co/pQKArHtpQm
