Well, isn’t this a surprise.
It seems the “winning” is getting a little stale out in the heartland.
According to a new segment by CNN, even the die-hard MAGA faithful are starting to wonder if the leopard might actually eat their faces.
John King traveled to Kellerton, Iowa, to chat with Shanen Ebersole.
She is a cattle farmer who cast her ballot for Donald Trump.
Originally, she backed Nikki Haley, but she eventually fell in line.
She thought his policies would help her family farm.
Spoiler alert: They aren’t helping as much as she hoped.
The Art of the (Bad) Deal
Ebersole admits she feels okay about the economy and border crossing numbers.
She even gave the President a 3 out of 5 rating.
But here is where the reality of Trump’s “America First” agenda hits home.
The President pushed through a $20 billion Argentina beef bailout.
This move has put actual American farmers like Ebersole in a terrible position.
It turns out that prioritizing foreign beef over domestic producers isn’t great for Iowa.
Then there is the bizarre, ongoing obsession with buying Greenland.
Yes, the 79-year-old President is still trying to buy a landmass like it is a hotel on a Monopoly board.
Ebersole was clear about her feelings on this.
“I don’t agree with that in any way, shape, or form,” she told CNN.
She added, “We need to take care of the 50 states that we have.”
Imagine that.
A voter actually wanting the President to focus on the country he governs.
Cows Have More Sense Than Congress
When asked if she would vote for a Democrat, Ebersole didn’t hesitate.
“Of course,” she replied.
This is a woman who voted for Trump hoping for a boost, but is now looking for a way out.
“I think that you have to vote for the person who best meets your goals,” she said.
She noted, “Every time we are met with a new election cycle, I am open-minded.”
She wants Congress to stop focusing on their own money and power.
She thinks they are forgetting the little guys.
“We want change,” she added. “We need more freshness.”
She even offered a piece of wisdom that Washington desperately needs to hear.
“I wish Washington could get along like cows,” she said.
“They need to find a way to get along for us, because that’s what we, the taxpayers, pay them to do.”
A Nobel Tantrum
Meanwhile, the President is busy threatening the integrity of NATO.
He refuses to rule out military action to acquire Greenland.
“One way or the other, we’re gonna have Greenland,” he told reporters on Air Force One on Jan. 11.
It gets even more embarrassing.
He sent an unhinged letter to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
Why?
Because he didn’t win the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.
Never mind that the Prime Minister has no say in the committee’s selection.
In the letter, Trump whined about not getting the prize for “having stopped 8 Wars PLUS.”
The reasoning he gave for his new aggression is truly something else.
“I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America,” he wrote.
So, because he didn’t get a shiny medal, he is threatening global stability.
If this is the “freshness” voters wanted, it certainly smells rotten.
At least one farmer in Iowa is finally waking up to the stench.
