Attendees at AmericaFest are taking selfies inside a replica of the tent where Charlie Kirk was shot and killed.
The tent is meant to honor Kirk’s memory. It recreates the “Prove Me Wrong” setup where he was sitting during the shooting.
About the Conference
AmericaFest is hosted by Turning Point USA. The event is being held in Phoenix and runs through Dec. 21.
The speaker lineup includes several well known conservative figures. These include Vice President JD Vance, Kirk’s widow Erika Kirk, Donald Trump Jr., and House Speaker Mike Johnson.
Members of Trump’s cabinet also appeared, including Tulsi Gabbard and Sean Duffy.
Inside the Replica Tent

The display recreates the tent where Kirk was killed at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
Inside the tent is a ring light often used by influencers. The space is surrounded by portraits of Kirk, including one showing him inside the same tent.
Conference attendees are encouraged to step inside and take photos.
Reactions From Attendees and Media
Journalist Brandy Zadrozny highlighted the display while reporting from the conference.

“This is a recreation of the tent where Charlie Kirk lost his life at Utah Valley University in September, and people are taking selfies with it,” she said.
She noted that some attendees were wearing replicas of the shirt Kirk was wearing when he was killed.

The Shirt and Its Popularity
The shirt is a plain white T-shirt with the word “FREEDOM” printed in black across the chest.
After Kirk’s death, the shirt became popular among supporters. The design is now sold as a hoodie, a flag, and a hat.
Mixed Feelings Among Supporters
Many photos online show attendees posing inside the tent. Others said the display made them uncomfortable.
One attendee wrote on Instagram that they chose not to take a photo, saying it did not feel right for them, even though others were fine with it.
Michael Flynn Jr., the son of Michael Flynn, reposted a video of the tent and called it disturbing.
The Shooting and Legal Case
Kirk was 31 when he was shot during a stop on his American Comeback Tour on Sept. 10.
After a manhunt, Tyler Robinson, 22, surrendered to police. He was arrested and charged with aggravated murder.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. Robinson is also facing six additional charges.
