“I’ll Read It on Twitter Instead”: MAGA Pundit Gets Brutally Humiliated Defending Trump on Live TV

On: January 6, 2026 12:53 PM

We all know what the current administration is really after.

President Donald Trump sent the U.S. military into Venezuela to scoop up its president and his wife.

They put them on trial on drug charges in New York.

The White House tried to frame this action as a matter of national security.

But we see right through that.

Trump and his close aides have publicly licked their lips about Venezuela’s vast oil reserves.

Naturally, the MAGA crowd had to send someone out to defend this obvious grab for resources.

That someone was pundit Ben Ferguson.

He appeared on Laura Coates Live on Monday evening to excitedly defend Trump for the whole segment.

Even Republicans Are Over It

Things went south for Ferguson pretty quickly.

He was sent spiraling by Joe Walsh.

Walsh is a former 2020 Republican Party presidential candidate who represented Illinois’s 8th congressional district in the House.

Even he couldn’t ignore the obvious truth.

“It’s oil, it’s oil, it’s oil,” Walsh said.

He didn’t stop there.

Walsh added: “Donald Trump cares more about Venezuelan oil than he does about problems here in America. I think that will resonate with voters.”

Ferguson was visibly perturbed by this point.

He sat there shaking his head as Walsh spoke.

The Ultimate Shutdown

Ferguson tried to butt in to save his dear leader’s reputation.

Coates began to close the segment.

“Ben, Joe, thank you both,” she said.

But Ferguson kept trying to jump in again.

Coates teased him a little bit first.

“We‘re not done talking about that. What do you want to say, Ben? Go ahead,” she added.

Ferguson took the bait immediately.

“I‘ll say this about President Trump,” he began.

And then Coates delivered one of the most brutal pivots I have ever seen on live television.

“Can I follow you on Twitter? And I can read it there instead? Let‘s do that. Thanks, Ben. Thanks, Joe.”

It was a masterclass in silencing nonsense.

Loud and Wrong

The moment was so sharp that Walsh literally winced as Coates cut Ferguson off.

This isn’t the first time Ferguson has been humiliated like this.

He was shut down in the same manner last September.

Public health activist Chris T. Pernell clashed with him back then.

She told him flatly that he was “loud and wrong.”

Maybe one day the MAGA talking heads will take the hint.

But I wouldn’t bet any Venezuelan oil on it.
