Three-Time Trump Voter Says She “Really Regrets” Her Vote On Megyn Kelly Show, Warns Trump Could Cost GOP In November And Claims Tariffs “Killed” Friend’s Business

A Las Vegas caller named Connie told SiriusXM’s The Megyn Kelly Wrap-Up Show that she had backed President Trump in three elections but now feels deeply let down by his presidency.

Host Emily Jashinsky took the call and asked Connie what was on her mind.

Connie said she had been a hardcore Trump supporter and had voted for him three times, but she could not believe she was now criticizing him.

She said Trump once promised to “blow them to smithereens,” return to the United States, and focus on Americans.

Connie said she now believes Trump has changed from the person she supported.

She warned that Republicans would lose in November if Trump stays on his current course.

She pointed to high gas prices and said that even with two jobs, her family is barely getting by.

Connie said her son and grandchildren may never be able to buy a home.

She also described a friend whose tile business had operated for 40 years before tariffs damaged it.

According to Connie, the business relied on shipments of tile and granite from Egypt, France, and Italy.

She said the tariffs took a serious toll on the company and ultimately killed the business.

Connie said she had trusted Trump on tariffs but now sees the policy as harmful to people who supported him.

She said her friend’s family is conservative and had built a successful business in California over four decades.

Connie also criticized Trump’s focus on conflicts overseas.

She said America’s priority should be its own people because voters like her supported him, donated to him, and trusted him.

She said she is not wealthy, does not make $100,000 a year, works for a living, and can barely survive.

Connie said she has helped her child and grandchildren because they cannot afford a home of their own.

She said her family members are not lazy and that they work.

The caller said she is 65 and had hoped to retire in two years.

She now believes retirement will not be possible because she must continue helping her son and grandchildren.

Connie said America is in a desperate situation that did not need to happen.

She said she does not know who is pushing Trump toward what she called terrible decisions.

She said many people she knows feel the same way and are seriously regretting their vote for Trump.

Jashinsky asked whether Connie began feeling that way around the Iran war.

Connie said the Iran issue was part of it, but the damage to her friend’s business was the bigger turning point.

Connie said Trump should act against Iran and “destroy them.”

She said she was personally giving Trump until the end of May to change course.

She said that if gas prices do not fall and the country remains in the same situation, she will never vote for Trump again.

Connie added that she would never believe a Republican again.

She said she does not plan to vote for a Democrat, but she is now wondering how Trump could be taught a lesson.

She said she still loves Trump but believes he talks too much and does not know when to stop.

Connie said conditions in the country are becoming very bad.

She also told Jashinsky that she fled communism.

When Jashinsky asked where she fled from, Connie said she was Cuban.

Connie said Cuban supporters had backed Trump “a thousand percent.”

She said Cubans came to the United States with nothing and built the American dream.

She said that dream is now slipping away.

Connie said Trump does not see what is happening and that someone is influencing him in the wrong direction.

Jashinsky thanked Connie and called the conversation a fascinating call.
