Kanye West Sits Stone-Faced on Video as Pete Davidson Torches Him With “Gay Nazi” Joke at Kevin Hart Roast
Kanye West stayed expressionless Sunday night as Pete Davidson took a harsh shot at him during Kevin Hart’s roast at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
The Netflix special brought together comics, actors, athletes and celebrities to mock Hart, with many jokes centered on the comedian’s height.
Davidson, however, delivered one of the night’s sharpest moments while aiming most of his set at Tony Hinchcliffe.
Hinchcliffe, the host of the stand-up show “Kill Tony,” had drawn attention after making offensive jokes about Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans at a Donald Trump rally in the weeks before the 2024 election.
Davidson first mocked Hinchcliffe’s appearance with a graphic joke about him looking like “both a child molester and the doll they gave the child to show where he touched them.”
He then compared Hinchcliffe to Charlie Kirk with another explicit line about being “on camera letting a guy unload in his throat.”
The crowd reacted nervously, and Davidson appeared ready for the tension.
“Oh, you don’t know me?” Davidson said.
He followed with another jab at Hinchcliffe’s show title.
“Kill Tony. Please, someone fucking kill, Tony,” Davidson said.
Davidson then brought Kanye West into the bit while telling Hinchcliffe that nothing said during the roast could bother him.
“Tony, nothing you say tonight will hurt my feelings. I was in a beef with Kanye, so I’ve taken shots from better gay Nazis,” Davidson said.
The line referred to Davidson’s past feud with West, which unfolded after the former “Saturday Night Live” cast member dated Kim Kardashian following her split from the rapper.
TMZ obtained video of West’s reaction as Davidson’s joke landed.
In the clip, Ye appeared stone-faced and showed no obvious sign that the insult affected him.
The moment came shortly before Davidson made a separate joke about Lizzo’s weight loss.
West did not spend the entire night with the same blank expression.
He applauded when Teyana Taylor arrived onstage for a surprise appearance.
Taylor famously starred in West’s 2016 “Fade” music video and later became a Golden Globe-winning actress.
West also smiled when Dwayne Johnson introduced Hart, the honoree of the night.
Davidson’s joke was only one part of a long evening of attacks aimed at Hart.
Lizzo joked that she and Hart both get mocked for their size but said she can lose weight while he cannot get taller.
Dwayne Johnson also mocked Hart’s height with a crude joke about getting a life-size Kevin Hart tattoo.
Katt Williams took a different angle by bringing up Diddy parties and joking that Hart’s quiet reaction to the subject made him look guilty.
One of the biggest surprises came when Tom Brady stepped onstage.
Brady had been the subject of Netflix’s 2024 roast, which Hart hosted, and he used his appearance to fire back.
“Have you even left the Forum, or have you just been here screaming into that mic the last two years waiting for daddy to come home?” Brady said.
“Well, unlike your real dad, I actually showed up,” Brady added.
Brady also gave Hart a “newborn-sized” Jalen Brunson jersey after the New York Knicks swept Hart’s Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA playoffs.
The former quarterback then referenced Hart’s admitted infidelity while his wife was pregnant, making a joke about “affairs in Las Vegas.”
“This won’t take long, because, as you guys know, I’m a busy man,” Brady said.
“But I do have a few words for you before I return to my affairs in Las Vegas,” he continued.
“Oh, wait, I’m talking about affairs in Las Vegas. Was that off? Not supposed to talk about affairs in Vegas? I think I broke another rule. Fuck it. I talked about it,” Brady said.
For West, the most talked-about moment may still be his non-reaction to Davidson’s insult.
If the joke bothered him, Ye gave the cameras nothing to work with.
That reaction also lines up with comments Taylor made in a January Vanity Fair interview, when she said she would not cut Ye out of her life over his controversial remarks.
