Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is packing her bags at the end of this month.
President Donald Trump announced her exit, but the backstabbing has only just begun.
Naturally, Noem’s allies are already out in full force pushing a totally different story.

According to a report by The Daily Caller’s Reagan Reese, Noem had some major “grievances” with the Trump White House.
One administration official gave Reese the inside scoop on the conservative infighting.
The official stated that “Noem told Trump and his White House that she was not getting the support she needed” at the end of 2025.
Trump apparently agreed and actually stepped in to help.
Things supposedly improved for a brief moment, but then tragedy struck.
Federal agents shot and killed two Americans in Minneapolis.
After that horrific event, the official noted that “Noem felt that she was thrown under the bus.”
A Very Expensive Horse Ride
Let us talk about the ridiculous $220 million ad campaign starring Noem herself.
Trump directly refuted Noem’s claim that he was aware of the ad campaign in comments given to Reuters on Thursday.
But Noem’s camp is essentially calling the President a liar.
The same official told Reese that “the White House was aware of Noem’s ad contract” from the very beginning.
They even insisted that “senior White House officials were even involved in getting the funds approved.”
Of course, the right wing cannot keep its own stories straight.
Another official who spoke with Reese completely denied Noem’s version of events.
This official said it was “laughable that Kristi is trying to blame her own self-inflicted issues on someone else. The issues that led to Kristi’s replacement were a result of her own wrongdoings, not a lack of support from the White House.”
Fox News Enters the Chat
Over at Fox News, Jacqui Heinrich reported on Thursday about the actual reasons for the firing.
Heinrich reported the ouster was due to “‘a combination of her many unfortunate leadership failures, from Minnesota, to the ad campaign, to the allegations of an affair'” with Corey Lewandowski.
Lewandowski, naturally, has also been shown the door.
Heinrich pointed out that Noem “never denied sexual relations” with Lewandowski.
Heinrich also added some hilarious context about that taxpayer-funded vanity project.
She noted Noem was questioned about the $200 million in advertising that featured her prominently on horseback at Mount Rushmore.
It was supposed to be an ad campaign about border security.
Noem told Congress that the president approved of that campaign.
Yet, according to Heinrich, apparently he did not.
It is truly a masterclass in MAGA incompetence, girls.
