White House Makes Swift-Kelce Wedding About Trump, Because Of Course

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were married Friday evening, and the White House marked the moment online with a Trump-themed meme.

Donald Trump was not among the wedding guests, but the White House Twitter account still linked him to the event after the ceremony.

The post played off the illuminated messages shown outside Madison Square Garden after Swift and Kelce officially became husband and wife.

“IT’S HAPPENED!!!” the account wrote with an image that changed the venue signs to read “Trump Is Your President” rather than “JUST&T MARRIED.”

Madison Square Garden in New York City hosted the wedding and lit up multiple signs shortly after the couple exchanged vows.

Swift and Kelce followed the ceremony with a press release announcing their marriage.

Earlier that day, the White House posted another Swift-related meme.

That image showed Trump on a poster styled like the Eras Tour and included the caption, “It’s been a long time coming…”

Trump and Swift have had a long-running public clash, although Swift has not responded in the same way.

After Swift endorsed Kamala Harris in 2024, Trump reacted on Truth Social by writing, “I hate Taylor Swift.”

In 2025, Trump wrote, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’”

Trump’s criticism of Swift began years before the latest presidential election.

Before the 2018 midterm elections, Swift backed Democratic Senate candidate Phil Bredesen in Tennessee over Republican Marsha Blackburn.

Trump, who was president at the time, was asked about Swift’s position outside the White House.

“I’m sure Taylor Swift knows nothing, and doesn’t know anything about [Blackburn],” Trump said.

He continued, “I like Taylor’s music about 25 percent less now, OK?”
