Oh, look. The Trump Department of Justice is back at it again, proving that their moral compass isn’t just broken—it’s actively pointing toward a super-max at this point.
Todd Blanche, the Deputy Attorney General, decided to go on Fox News and give us the legal defense absolutely nobody asked for.
Apparently, we all just need to chill out about the whole Jeffrey Epstein thing because, as Blanche so eloquently put it, “it isn’t a crime to party with Mr. Epstein.”
The DOJ’s “Nothing to See Here” Strategy
During a chat with Laura Ingraham, Blanche seemed less interested in justice and more interested in making sure we know that hanging out with a serial child trafficker is just a casual weekend hobby.
“I’ll never say no, and we will always investigate any evidence of misconduct,” Blanche told Fox News.
But he quickly pivoted back to his favorite new talking point.
“But as you know, it is not a crime to party with Mr. Epstein. And so as horrible as — it’s not a crime to email with Mr. Epstein,” Blanche stated, according to the report.
He even doubled down, insisting that “the American people need to understand that it isn’t a crime to party with Mr. Epstein.”
Representative Garcia Isn’t Buying the Garbage
Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) joined CNN’s The Source and basically did what we’re all doing: screamed into the metaphorical void.
“I mean, it’s gross, it’s sick!” Garcia told guest anchor Brianna Keilar.
He pointed out that while the DOJ is busy protecting the “right to party” with monsters, the actual survivors are the ones paying the price.
Garcia noted that hearing this kind of rhetoric from a top law enforcement official is “retraumatizing” for those who suffered under Epstein.
A Massive Cover-Up With a Side of Redaction
While the DOJ did dump 3 million pages of Epstein documents on Friday, they apparently used a lot of ink on the “delete” button first.
The original article notes that the files included multiple claims of sexual misconduct against Donald Trump.
Strangely enough, some of those claims were subsequently deleted from the public record.
Garcia isn’t letting that slide, calling the whole situation “completely botched” and part of a “massive coverup.”
Protecting Names and Playing Games
According to Garcia, the DOJ is playing a very specific game with what they show the public.
“Why have they decided to hold back 50 percent of the Epstein files and play games with where Trump’s name is, and removing this photo, and redacting this, but then putting out the names of the survivors?” Garcia asked on CNN.
He explicitly pointed the finger at the top, stating the cover-up is “clearly being directed by the President and Pam Bondi.”
It seems the “Law and Order” crowd is mostly just interested in “Order” — as in, ordering the names of their powerful friends to be scrubbed from the record.
Time to Apologize and Open the Books
The message from the left is clear: the DOJ works for the people, not as a PR firm for former Epstein associates.
Garcia didn’t mince words about Blanche’s performance, saying, “Todd Blanche should be ashamed of himself.”
He’s demanding that the DOJ stop protecting co-conspirators and “release the names, most importantly, immediately.”
Until then, we’re left with a Deputy AG who thinks “partying” with a trafficker is just a technicality.
