Florida rapper 1900Rugrat is accusing Drake of using elements from one of his songs on the newly released album ICEMAN.
The dispute centers on “Little Birdie,” a track from Drake’s latest project, which 1900Rugrat claims borrows from the beat of “Intro,” the opening song from his 2025 release Porch 2 The Pent.
In a video shared online, the Florida artist explained that Drake and people connected to his camp had contacted him around the time he was preparing his debut tape and asked to hear unreleased material.
According to 1900Rugrat, he sent about 10 tracks that were intended for the project because he feared someone might take his ideas if he held music back.

He said the song that drew the most interest was the album’s intro track, but he refused to give it away.
The rapper claimed Drake still wanted him involved with the album and allegedly promised to send a guest verse, though Rugrat said the verse never arrived.
After listening to ICEMAN, 1900Rugrat said he noticed similarities between “Little Birdie” and his own “Intro,” especially involving the melody used in the instrumental.
He also stated that “Intro” featured the only beat he has personally produced, making the alleged resemblance more noticeable to him.
In the clip, he accused Drake of taking the production and altering its pitch rather than creating something entirely different.
On TikTok, 1900Rugrat captioned a post about the situation by writing, “DANG ICEMAN,” before questioning why Drake repeatedly asked for the track only for a similar version to appear nearly two years later.
The rapper also uploaded screenshots of alleged Instagram direct messages with Drake.
In the supposed February 25, 2025 exchange, Drake appeared excited about Rugrat’s upcoming tape, discussed possibly using a song for the album, and mentioned collaborating in the future.
1900Rugrat responded positively in the alleged messages, though he reportedly said he was unwilling to repeat lyrics.
The accusations have sparked debate among fans online, with some supporting 1900Rugrat’s concerns while others believe the similarities are not enough to prove wrongdoing.
Listeners comparing the two tracks have mainly pointed to the sampled melody as the strongest resemblance.
Neither Drake nor anyone affiliated with OVO Sound has publicly addressed the claims.
The allegations arrive during another period of criticism and scrutiny surrounding Drake, although no evidence has definitively confirmed that any copying took place.
