Britney Spears was accused of creating a disruptive scene during dinner with two friends at a Los Angeles restaurant on Wednesday night.
TMZ cited sources who alleged that the 44-year-old pop star became loud, screamed and barked during the outing at Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks, California.
One diner told the outlet that Spears passed their table while holding a knife, which made them worry she could accidentally stab someone.
The “Toxic” singer was dining with a man and a woman, according to the report.

TMZ also reported that Spears lit a cigarette near the entrance, prompting employees to ask her male companion to tell her to extinguish it.
At the table, Spears allegedly fed the man she was with and told him, “I love you.”
The outlet said it was not clear whether Spears was serious or joking.
One witness claimed that by the time the group left, Spears’ table looked “like a toddler had been there.”

TMZ reported that Spears’ security team later drove her home.
Page Six contacted Spears’ representative for comment.
Her representative told TMZ, “This is completely blown out of proportion. Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard. She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors.”
The representative also denied that Spears ever “put anyone in danger with a knife” and said she had been cutting her hamburger with it.

“This constant attack on everything that she does and this is exactly what happened 20 years ago when the media tried to depict Britney as a bad person. This is ridiculous and it needs to stop now,” the statement added.
Spears previously checked herself into a rehab facility on April 12 after her March DUI arrest.
She was photographed for the first time after rehab on April 30.
A source close to Spears told Page Six then that she was “doing really well” and “excited to start afresh” after treatment.
“Rehab was a great opportunity for her to ground herself,” the insider added.
A second source said the mother of two is “continuing counseling remotely.”

The Princess of Pop pleaded guilty on May 4 to a charge stemming from her DUI arrest.
Her attorney agreed to a deal that reduced the charge to “wet reckless.”
That reduction is common in cases involving first-time offenders with low blood alcohol levels and no prior crashes.
A judge gave Spears a one-year informal probationary grant and ordered her to complete a three-month alcohol school.
Spears did not appear at the May 4 court hearing.
Since the arrest, Spears has been spending additional time with her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19.
The boys reportedly helped persuade her to enter rehab.
